Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all of my Lesley Cohort Buddies. I know everyone is happy to be finished with school this week and looking forward to the next couple of weeks off. I hope you're finishing up with your WebQuest so we can get started on our new assignments on the next course. Did you see that we have several assignments posted?
I hope everyone has a blessed holiday season. I'll see you in 2010!

The WebQuest is finished!!

I'm happy to say that my WebQuest is finished. I've sent my URL to a cohort friend to help me look for typos. After that, I'll go ahead and post it on the Discussion Board so that I'll be able to relax a bit before our next course starts.

School has been very busy as we get closer to the holidays and Winter Break. Our Kindergarten children are very excited of course for a visit from Santa. We will be "traveling around the world" this week helping them to experience customs and traditions of other countries. I will be teaching about France and I made a PowerPoint of many sights and scenes from France. With our Promethean boards, it will be a great way to share photos for all to see.

On a personal note, my son has arrived home from college for the holidays, so I'm happy to have him home with the family. We will spend Christmas here and then will leave on the 26th for Florida. We will visit one grandparent in Orlando and the other in Sarasota. We'll be back to celebrate the New Year with friends and neighbors here.

Almost finished with my WebQuest

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was so nice to have the week off. I got sick on Thanksgiving day, so for the past week I've concentrated on getting better. Back to work now. I'm almost finished with my WebQuest. I'm using the Quest Garden site and it has been easy to work on each section. The navigation bar is already set up and the site gives a lot of hints, suggestions, and many samples to look at. I'm a little frustrated with the links I've selected. A few that were working well when we turned in our draft, are not available. I'm having to spend some time looking for appropriate sites that fit the task and process of my quest. I hope to complete it in the next few days and go ahead and post my URL. It will feel great to have finished.
